Complete in HIM

Have you ever sensed that something was lacking? It feels elusive or just out of your grasp. You persist in pushing ahead, doing everything you know how, yet somehow it seems like something is still absent, just missing.

Lately, I've felt like there is something I am being called to, and yet I'm not quite able to figure it out. I find myself reflecting on my experiences, overthinking my choices, and pondering whether I have overlooked something crucial to my call.

Have you been here? Have you ever felt like this before? This profound sensation of standing on the brink of something new, yet simultaneously having no idea what that is?

On this pursuit, we often find ourselves at the intersection of hope and doubt, where the thrill of what's next intersects with the fear of the unknown or getting it wrong. The search for clarity is about facing all the twists and turns, as we look to bring glory to our Father.

And as God often does, in the middle of the uncertain and the searching for what is missing.....He brings a verse to remembrance that brings clarity to something that has been distracting you.

Read it nice and slow…..

And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power: - Colossians 2:10

This verse felt like a direct response to my conversation with the Lord. It was an aha moment, a realization that the verse was intended to help me find peace in the sense that something was missing.

The “Him” in this verse is Jesus Christ. Jesus is everything that we will ever need. In Him, we are complete. We need no new revelation. We need no new truth. We need no special blessing. We simply need Jesus and when He is Lord and Saviour of our lives…..we are complete!

Regrettably, understanding and embodying this can be challenging in today's world. Society often persuades us to think we need the latest and greatest things, implying that we are incomplete without what they offer. However, if we have embraced Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we have no need of what they are promoting.

And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. - Luke 12:29

The devil likes to detour us from continuing forward on our paths, leading us away from our true purpose and potential. Old Lucifer, the master of deception and distraction, doesn’t even need to physically restrain us to keep us stuck in a state of stagnation. Instead, he employs a far more insidious strategy; he sows seeds of doubt and fear in our minds. These doubts can manifest as insecurities about our abilities, feelings of unworthiness, or a sense that we are not enough. When we begin to entertain these thoughts, we inadvertently hold ourselves back, allowing the negativity to take root and flourish.

The principalities of this world, those spiritual forces that operate in opposition to our growth and fulfillment, are acutely aware of the power we possess when we embrace our identity in Christ. They want us to believe that we are lacking in some way, that there is something essential missing from our lives. This deception is designed to keep us focused on our perceived inadequacies rather than on the truth of our completeness in Jesus. They know that if we fully grasp the reality of our identity as whole and complete beings, made in the image of God, then we become unstoppable in our pursuits and endeavors for Him.

When we remember that we are complete in Jesus, we tap into a wellspring of confidence and strength that empowers us to overcome obstacles and challenges. This realization allows us to break free from the chains of doubt and fear that the enemy seeks to impose upon us. It reminds us that we are not defined by our past mistakes or failures, but rather by our potential and the promises of God. The more we anchor ourselves in this truth, the more resilient we become against the lies that seek to derail us.

We must actively counter our negative thoughts and beliefs that arise, replacing them with the truth of our worth given to us by God our Father and Creator. By doing so, we can navigate the challenges of life with a renewed sense of clarity and determination, fully aware that we are equipped to move forward and achieve our God-given destinies. Thus, we must remain steadfast in our faith, continually seeking the truth that sets us free and propels us toward the call the Lord has on our lives.

Finding The More

Ephesians 3:19-21

And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
